about

This single emerges from a land of dark sound. An almost ambient distortion surface with a splash of minimalistic drums that support the melodic bassline and the almost romantic melody.

The beach / The End was originally written for a wild and seductive play - The Late Wedding - by the American playwriter Christopher Chen.
"For me, the song is about grief and about searching for a person who left me. Everything you would like to have experienced together or shown each other. Everything you wanted to share. But it is actually quite open for interpretation, ”says Tomas Raae.

lyrics

The Beach / The End

This is the end
Would You see what I see
If you, by any chance
Could be here alone
Or If I could stay
Could I have a moment before you go ?

We could watch those endless coastlines sitting on this beach
We could dream of things beyond our reach ?

This is the end
I still have that hollow feeling
If you, by any chance
Could be here alone
So If you could stay
or Could I have a moment before you go ?

We could watch those endless coastlines sitting on this beach
We could dream of things beyond our reach ?
When the sun went down a very long time ago
the night got quiet, now I think I know
