At The Wall
04:45

Darlin’, winter is coming,
at the wall in Berlin.
A man is playing the violin,
as the rain freezes above him.
Darlin’, winter is coming,
at my post in Berlin.
There are no leaves left on the tree,
I hear music from the other side.
Dreamers never learn,
dreamers never learn.
Can’t sleep – miss you.
It’s getting dark now.
Miss the sun penetrating the sky.
Miss the unexpected in life.
Write soon, that’s all
Darlin’, there are sore spots,
at the wall in Berlin.
Freezes slowly,
as the stars fall down in a basket.
Darlin’, there are small cracks,
near my post in Berlin.
I am cold here
Could I sneak to the other side
Dreamers never learn,
dreamers never learn.
Can’t sleep – miss you.
Friedrichstrasse is quiet now.
There’s an earthquake in my heart,
as Berlin disappears in the dark.
Write soon, that’s all

Shoegazing / For Emily
03:55
|

A Mexican beach band is slowly killing a song
It’s an Italien wedding and everything seems wrong
I’m waiting for Emily, hope she won’t be long
so for now I’ll order another beer
Emily rushes in as the bride takes her groom
While she hugs me, I dream in her perfume
And how I met her in the dressing room
she wrote something on the wall
A great deal of hours spent gazing at my shoes
Locked in a tower with nothing left to loose
Being a line in a modern mans blues /to be alive in a modern mans blues
Emily talks about music as I try to keep my cool
About Bob and George and Bowie and a spirit, that couldn’t stop drolling
and all of her plans, now she is leaving school
I peer at her over my third beer
I wanna kiss her, but haven’t got the nerve
So I just look at her, trying to observe
and find a soft spot in the beautiful curves
then I start drinking her wine
A great deal of hours spent gazing at my shoes
Locked in a tower with nothing left to loose
Being a line in a modern mans blues /to be alive in a modern mans blues
A Mexican beach band is still murdering a song
It was an Italian weeding but now there all gone
Emily makes me smile, it’s just before dawn
She makes me gaze at my shoes

Sleepers, you know what to do
Stay in your beds ‘till we are through
Rise up to pry for the dawn
Change what you might and go on
Change what you might and go on
Sleepers you know what went wrong
longing was lost and it’s gone
at noon we’ll hear what they say
they’ll probably lie anyway
Sleep while the dawn drifts away
Sleepers, your dreams must do
I’ll go the same way as you

John the Baptist nearly drowned Jesus Christ
When he showed him his river of faith.
I saw them when I was there last night,
only I was there to bath.
Standing there, she looked like a little deer
Her big eyes only saw the moon
In her face there where traces of tears
It was a beautiful night in June
I spoke to Mary of Magdala
Near the church on the hill.
She looked at me, just looked
She said; she left, you can do what you will
I told her about the evening, the river and the girl
about her eyes that only saw the moon
in her face and the traces of tears
Now, it is the end of June .
Reality is full of all kinds of noises,
not just echoes or smalltalk
and I believe in you, I believe in you
…!!!…
