Just as fake as pink soda stream
I have this old western dream
that Robbers rides towards my town
evil, dressed up as clowns - all evil, dressed in black and brown
Someone screams of fear and hides behind a wall
but I take my guns and shoot them all
Give back the city key for a pearl
Jump on my horse and kiss the girl
…But for now I’ll try to catch my train ,
running through the evening rain.
I know I’m late, hope she won’t be gone,
my sweet, sweet Persephone.
I’m their captain, I’m their boss
My orders should not be crossed
This time, though, it’s close to chains,
will we manage to escape again.
So as the shore disappears in the dark
an earthquake escalates in my heart
and as my pirates are escaping West,
I keep your ring close to my chest.
…But for now I’ll try to catch my train ,
I’m running through the evening rain.
I know I’m late, hope she won’t be gone,

Maybe she’ll someday disappear,
meaning; she doesn’t belong here.
In my boring world she will grow tired
So I tell her these stories to keep her inspired.
